Short Term Rental Cleaning Checklist

Kitchen

  • Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and organize countertops
  • Disinfect sinks and shine chrome
  • Clean all appliances, including top of fridge
  • Clean inside of fridge
  • Dust backsplash, windowsills, and ledges
  • Spot clean doors and frames
  • Mop and vacuum floors
  • Wipe out microwave
  • Clean under sink and garbage can
  • Empty dishwasher
  • Clean and disinfect tables

Bedroom

  • Wipe down all surfaces, including headboard
  • Open and check all drawers, wipe out drawers, and wash handles 
  • Strip and remake bed
  • Check under bed and night tables for items
  • Move bed if needed
  • Vacuum between mattress and bed frame
  • Clean mirrors and windows

Bathroom

  • Wash and disinfect sink and countertops
  • Wash and scrub tub, including the outside of the tub
  • Wash and scrub toilet inside and out
  • Clean mirror
  • Dust baseboards and pictures
  • Open all cupboards and clean and disinfect drawers and handles 
  • Wash shower curtain
  • Clean away water spots from glass shower doors
  • Shine chrome faucets and handles

General

  • Wash and arrange towels
  • Set out all toiletries
  • Take out trash and recycling
  • Vacuum and mop all floors, chairs are moved, pull-out couch if needed.
  • Clean and disinfect all light switches, door handles, and all commonly touched surfaces
  • Dust furniture, window ledges, knick-knacks, and baseboards
  • Wash leather couches and vacuum upholstery
  • Dust blinds as needed
  • Dust ceilings for cobwebs
  • Spot clean walls and door jams
  • Clean door windows
  • Prepare anything extra that you would like done for your guests

Deck

  • Scrape and wipe down BBQ
  • Replace BBQ if needed
  • Clean and disinfect table and chairs
  • Clean windows and glass railings on deck if needed
  • Remove debris, dust, and cobwebs

Move In/Move Out Cleans

Move In/Move out cleans are done on a per hour basis at $45/hr

General

  • Wash down doors, remove all dust, dirt and fingerprints
  • Spot clean walls (or wash them if requested)
  • Dust and hand wipe reachable windows and windowsills
  • Clean doorframes, knobs, and light switches
  • Scrub and wipe clean all baseboards
  • Vacuum and mop all floors, move chairs, and pull-out couch if needed
  • Dust furniture, window ledges, knick-knacks, baseboards
  • Wash leather couches and vacuum upholstery
  • Dust blinds
  • Dust ceilings for cobwebs
  • Clean door windows
  • Wipe down all leather furniture and/or vacuum all upholstered furniture
  • Prepare anything extra that you would like done for your guests

Kitchen

  • Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and organize countertops
  • Disinfect sinks and shine chrome
  • Clean fronts of all appliances
  • Pull out appliances and clean behind them
  • Dust backsplash, windowsills, and ledges
  • Spot clean doors and frames
  • Mop and vacuum floors

  • Clean inside cupboards, fridge, and stove

Bedroom

  • Vacuum areas under furniture
  • Individually clean knick-knacks
  • Dust picture frames
  • Dust and wipe baseboards

Bathroom

  • Scrub inside shower tile grouting
  • Hand wipe fronts of cabinets

  • Ensure shower glass and mirrors are streak free
